The Atlantic-Bar, which, as far as bars go, acts as a VIP meeting place in Hamburg. Its mixture of modern architecture and the features of a classical bar make it totally captivating. Head barman Gerardo Goffredo and his team are experts and mix not only classic cocktails but also the most unusual creations. The light from many hundreds of small halogen bulbs on the ceiling of the bar combine in the windows to the inner courtyard with the lighting from the columned atrium that gave the bar its name. To create mood and atmosphere in the bar in the evenings we have pianists who very often turn out to be true entertainers. As well as that many stars from the music business who have been guests in the hotel have often sat down at the piano here and given a "free concert" through sheer "joie de vivre".
