| Around 400 years ago, in the back of this 16th century building, a hotel was set up in an inn that was called "'t Schomynckel", which literally means "Beautiful Place". Later, the contiguous houses, dated also of the 16th century, were transformed in Neo-Renaissance style and integrated within the hotel compound. Through the porch (the current entrance), we ad access to a patio with a well and stables. In 1908, that patio was covered with a colorful, unique stained glass dome in late Art Nouveau style. |
